What is a root canal?

The root canal is a part of the root of a tooth that contains all the nerves and blood vessels. When this part of the tooth gets involved in decay, it gets infected and causes excruciating pain and sensitivity in the tooth. The best possible solution for such a tooth is root canal treatment.

The procedure involves the injection of local anesthesia in the soft tissues to help numb the area. Then, the tooth is drilled to create an access path to the root canal which is cleaned and shaped with the help of endodontic files. The infected root and pulp are removed and the root is filled with a filling material. Then, a cap is placed on top of the root canal-treated tooth to help protect it from external chewing forces. Since the tooth is dead, it is now brittle, being more susceptible to fracture. A cap/crown on top of it protects the tooth and does not let your aesthetics be compromised.

Dentistry Isn't Expensive; Negligence Is!

If your small cavity progresses into the dental pulp, you would have to get an RCT done. The tooth cannot be saved with a simple filling and the dental pulp has to be removed.

Get Single Visit RCT Done

Our team is highly skilled to be able to do single visit RCTs. Instead of multiple visits, get your tooth treated in one sitting only.
